The Southbound Holiday Cottages in Ballyferriter are nestled in a stunning green valley a few hundred meters away from the little picturesque village of Ballyferriter (Baile an Fheirtéaraigh).
Comprising of 3, 4, & 5 bedroom holiday homes, all of our cottages have been built to provide the highest luxury specification and finish and are set on a beautifully landscaped rural site with with breathtaking views of Ceann Sibeal, The Three Sisters, Dun an Oir and Smerwick Harbour. Ballyferriter is just 6 miles (10k) west of Dingle Town and approximately half way on the Slea Head Drive.
Facilities within walking distance are shops, church, school, post office, museum, restaurants, pubs, hotels and only 2 minutes drive away from Ceann Sibéal Golf Links. A Fantastic par 72 championship course. The Irish language is alive and thriving in the area and adds to the unique style of the village. Located in what is known as the richest square mile of Christian heritage in Ireland, Ballyferriter is steeped in history and antiquity.
The Southbound Holiday Cottages in Ballyferriter are also just a stones throw away from some of the most beautiful and most scenic beaches in the County of Kerry. Including Clogher Strand, Wine Strand, Béal Bán, Coumeenoule, Ventry Beach & Muiríoch Beach.
Even though our Holiday Cottages are on the outskirts of this small village, it is in a quiet location, situated on its own grounds with landscaped gardens. Ideal for a relaxing holiday near the beach, but also close by to unique traditional pubs and restaurants. Ballyferriter is a really welcoming and warm little village that has a lot to offer.

- Shore fishing and surfing at wine strand. Cúl Dorcha is also one of the best know surfing spots on the Dingle Peninsula.
- Kerry is known for its excellent golf courses and The Ceann Sibéal Golf Links are just a 2 minute drive away from our holiday cottages.
- The lovely surrounding countryside is perfect for walking, hiking, cycling or just taking long leisurely drives.
- The Blasket Island Centre and take a ferry out to see the beautiful famous islands.
- Louis Mulcahys Pottery Shop in Clogher, Ballyferriter where you can have a go at throwing a pot.
- The Chorca Dhuibhne Regional Museum which exhibits the many aspects of the rich archaeological resource of the peninsula. The museum also houses a café (home baking!), and a book shop.
- Siar Ó Thuaidh, the most westerly music venue in Europe! Which is situated to the rear of Kane’s Bar, Ballyferriter. It has attracted the best of local, national and international musicians and is now part of the regular circuit for national tours.
